There are a variety of different sentence structures to help develop children’s writing. It starts with building a sentence using the colour and then going on to writing the sentence with the ‘little words’ added in. These can be used to help Key Stage 2 use colourful semantics in a way that will help develop their writing and create more detailed sentences independently. They could be used with a picture stimulus or the child’s own ideas.
A worksheet where the child can use the Widgit images to help them differentiated between different homophones. There are 3 different pages, each with 6 sets of homophones. The visual element will support the children in recalling the vocabulary. Any feedback would be appreciated!
3 differentated speech prompts to help children structure their dialogue starting from the verb and building around that. This could be used for speech within fiction writing or for quotes in a non fiction writing piece.
